LA LLIGA

The League of Rheumatologic Affected and Disabled (La Lliga d’afectats reumatològics i discapacitats or “La Lliga”) is a non-profit association, declared of public utility in 2014 and registered as a healthcare asset. Its main objective is to collaborate in improving the quality of life of people with physical and/or organic disabilities of any origin and their families, as well as those of people with disabilities in general, especially in achieving the maximum levels of personal, family, work, social and cultural autonomy.

With all this in mind, LA LLIGA develops programs aimed at the various key actors involved in the process: society, healthcare and social professionals, the educational community, those responsible for healthcare and social policies, social partners (employers, unions), culture and inclusive leisure…

We work to achieve full UNIVERSAL ACCESSIBILITY without urban, architectural and social barriers in public spaces as well as private spaces of public utility. Additionally, it also makes sure that reserved spaces are respected, and encourages and assists in the creation of spaces reserved for people with disabilities. Lastly, it assists in the analysis of accessibility and the elaboration of accessibility guides, both by sectors and populations.

La Lliga was declared of Public Utility on November 20, 2014.
