DAMET

Digital Advancement and Micro credentialing in Education for Teachers

Project description

The DAMET (Digital Advancement and Micro credentialing in Education for Teachers) project is motivated by the urgent need to align adult education with rapid technological advancements. It aims to bridge the digital divide by equipping adult educators with essential digital competences, specifically focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and innovative teaching methodologies.

By integrating a micro-credentialing system, the project establishes flexible pathways for educators to continuously develop their professional skills, ensuring that adult learning environments remain adaptable, inclusive, and responsive to the digital era.

Project objectives

The project focuses on three main objectives:

  • Enhance digital competences: To equip adult educators with AI digital skills and innovative pedagogical methods to improve teaching effectiveness and learner engagement.
  • Develop upskilling pathways: To create accessible, flexible, and personalized learning pathways for teachers seeking to upskill or reskill, utilizing micro-credentials to recognize achievements.
  • Foster digital transformation: To implement AI tools and platforms that enhance learning experiences and ensure the capacity of adult education systems to adapt to future challenges.

Project results

The project will deliver the following concrete results:

  • Digital Competency Development Platform (DCDP): A central multilingual web hub (in EN, SI, GR, IT, ES, LT, FR) for accessing e-learning modules, tracking progress, and managing micro-credentials.
  • E-Learning Program on AI Tools: A comprehensive training course consisting of 6 modules covering AI ethics and specific tools such as ChatGPT, Zoom AI, InVideo, QuillBot, and Education COPilot.
  • Micro-credential Framework: A structured system for recognizing and certifying the digital competences of adult educators, including the issuance of digital badges.
  • Digital Database of Best Practices: A mapping of existing micro-credential systems and best practices across the EU.
  • International Training and Piloting: Implementation of a 3-day intensive training for educators in Lithuania, “train-the-trainers” workshops in national contexts, and piloting of the e-learning program with at least 120 educators.
